How it Works

The aim is to raise funds for the Suffolk Provincial Charity and the next Festival by selling numbers which will be entered in to 9 draws held throughout any one year with the year commencing each January. We aim to sell as many numbers as possible, it is not restricted to 500.

Half of the income generated will be returned to members as cash prizes. The remaining income, less a small amount held back for expenses, (Licensing, Postage etc) will be split between the Suffolk Provincial Charity fund and future Festivals. Any expenses surplus will be donated to the Charity at the end of each year.

The value of the cash prizes will depend on the number of numbers sold at the date of the draw.

The cost of each number is £20 (twenty pounds) and this entitles you to a unique number allocated at random on receipt of your completed form. There is no limit on the amount of numbers that can be purchased. Numbers can also be purchased by Lodges and their Members, to friends and family as long they are over the age of sixteen.

To take part you simply complete the attached form and return with a cheque payable to Suffolk Freemasons 500 Club for £20, or a multiple of £20’s according to how many numbers you wish to purchase, before 31st January to the address at the bottom of the form. This entitles you to participate in the draws for the following year. You will be notified of your allocated number/s by email where possible.

You can also select to pay by BACS or complete the standing order mandate section on the application form and your membership will automatically be renewed each year if you select the “Until Further Notice” box.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to complete a standing order you will receive a friendly reminder email asking if you still wish to be in the 500 Club at the end of each year, when you can then renew your membership for the following year.

You can join at any time throughout the year and you will be entered into any remaining draws, but the cost is still £20 per number. The 9 Draws will take place throughout each year and will consist of up to 4 prizes according to the value of the monthly prize fund. Draws will be made using a unique number generator and published on the Suffolk Provincial website (www.suffolkfreemason.org.uk). Winners will be notified by post with an accompanying cheque.
